As lives change direction, some embrace the opportunity to evolve and grow as depicted by the new buds of life on the trees’ branches. Many discover new ways to cope, much like roots sprouting from the unlikeliest places, while others helplessly dissolve into fear and depression. Such is the crossroads of life.

Silent GenesisAs ongoing conversations about reproduction trickle into the mainstream psyche, there are many cultures and circumstances where choices of having or not having children remains taboo. Silent Genesis examines a world where women have no voice about their own journey with reproduction. The calmness and beauty of their expressions bely the turmoil within their bodies ravaged by society’s unrealistic expectations of women.
